Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In plain English.
This site is run by Barbados Magic Lounge (HG Entertainment Inc), top floor above Castaways Restaurant, St Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, Barbados. If you ever have a question about your data, email post@barbadosmagiclounge.com and a real person (often Hans) will answer.
What we collect
- What you give us. When you join the list, send an enquiry, or contact us, we collect what you type: your name, email, and sometimes your phone, country, and details about your event.
- What happens automatically. Like most sites, we use Google Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It uses cookies and gives us anonymous, aggregated numbers, not your identity.
- Tickets. Tickets and gift cards are handled by Fienta, our ticketing partner. Payment details go straight to them; we never see or store your card information.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or message.
- To email you about shows and tickets, but only if you joined the list. One email when tickets drop, the odd nudge, nothing else.
- To understand what's working on the site so we can make it better.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data, ever. We only share it with the tools that make the site work: MailerLite (our email list), Fienta (tickets and payments), Google Analytics (anonymous usage), and our website host. Each handles your data under its own privacy terms.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, mostly for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Your choices
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list.
- You can ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, any time. Just email post@barbadosmagiclounge.com.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages and list sign-ups for as long as they're useful, and remove them when they're not, or when you ask us to.
Security
The site runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and the tools we use are established providers with their own security in place. No system is perfect, but we treat your details with care.
